To strengthen our team VUYK ENGINEERING ROTTERDAM (VER) is looking for an experienced naval architect consultant. The consultant will be responsible for independently advising clients within the field of work of VER, particularly in the offshore segment. Apart from consultancy, another important part of the job will be to further develop the opportunities of VER within the offshore industry.

The work will comprise consultancy, acquisition of new and existing clients in the Netherlands and abroad, advising clients on concepts, studies, design and engineering of ships and equipment. The consultant will work closely with the project managers and specialists within our company.

• A degree in Shipbuilding, Marine Technology or Offshore Technology from Technical University or Polytechnic College.
• Minimum of 10 years experience, particularly in the offshore and in design and engineering in the maritime sector.
• A network in the (international) offshore.
• Extensive experience in all aspects of designing work vessels and equipment, including writing technical specifications.
• Experience in and affinity with marketing, acquisition and business development.
• A wide perspective on the "ins and outs" in the maritime industry.
• In addition to sound theoretical knowledge, also practical insight.
• Innovative.
• Ability to translate client requirements and needs into a good advice.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility.
• Willingness to travel.
