In 2006, Van Oord contracted Arab Heavy Industries to convert the multi-purpose offshore support vessel HAM 602 into a side stone dumping vessel. Vuyk was responsible for the concept, basic and detail design for this conversion.
Originally built in 1969 as Libra, the vessel was designed to install heavy concrete cubes for the Europoort breakwaters near Hook of Holland. In 1982, she was converted into a side stone dumping vessel for the Eastern Scheldt Storm Surge Barrier. Later, in 1995, she became a multi-purpose offshore support vessel, active in a wide range of operations. For a specific project, she returned to her earlier role as a side stone dumping vessel.
