Safeway is a Dutch company part of the Van Aalst Group and specialized in the design and production of offshore transfer equipment. Safeway has a product line of motion compensated gangway systems with among others the Seagull, Osprey and Gannet.
The Safeway Gannet is designed for installation on newbuild SOV’s and therefore suitable for offshore wind farm scopes. Made with trolley operations in mind the Safeway Gannet has a stepless transfer and 1.2m transit width. Integrated into the vessel construction, Safeway Gannet still combines the advantages of the Seagull type with its hover mode, roll compensation, strongly reduced actuator motions and highest workability in the market. Vuyk was involved from the early start of the concept development.
